The challenge – glass vials have a wide tolerance for standard applications which create problems for automated chemistry. Equipment designed for one lot of glass vials will fail on a subsequent lot of glass vials due to the lack of tight tolerances. A standard needs to be created to ensure that automated chemistry systems are successfully operated from lot to lot of consumables used.
The Solution –
Scilutions has developed a line of glass vials that have tight tolerances that lend themselves to being utilized in automated chemistry systems. The resulting vials are aligned with the SLAS Automated Chemistry TIG who's goal is to provide a new standard for automated chemistry applications.
PulpFixin has developed a line of automation compatible sample racks, utilizing the new vial standard and designed for use with automated labelling systems such as 2D barcoding and RFID tags.
