For those of you attending SLAS2023, we are excited to see you in San Diego!
I wanted to provide some additional information below about Student and Early Career activities at the meeting! We welcome you all to attend any and/or all of these events!
Sunday Opening Reception
- On Sunday night, we kick off with a fantastic opening reception in the exhibition hall from 5:30 - 7:00 PM. Then, students and early-career attendees are invited to walk over to The Smoking Gun to continue networking from 7:00 - 9:00 PM and enjoy food, beverages (cash bar), arcade games, billiards, shuffleboard, and more. If you haven't already responded, please RSVP now! This event is open to all SLAS2023 attendees, but registration is requested.
Mentor Match Program
Career Connections
- Special Recruiter Hours: Find out who's hiring, what position, and how to apply! 4:00 to 5:00 PM on Monday, February 27, and 10:30 to 11:30 AM on Tuesday, February 28, in the SLAS Booth.
- Job Boards: Check the Job Boards in the SLAS Booth. Post your résumé on SLAS Career Connections to get started.
Networking and Professional Development
- Give SLAS Feedback at the Student Focus Group, 8:00 to 9:00 AM, in Room 5A. Continental Breakfast will be available.
- "Harness the Power of the SLAS Network" tips and advice from Steve Rees and Rich Ellson on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 9:00 - 10:00 AM in Room 5A.
- Meet the SLAS Technology and SLAS Discovery editors and Special Interest Group Chairs in the SLAS Booth. Check the Event Scheduler for details.
- Celebrate the Student Poster Awardees, who will be announced on Monday, February 27, from 4:30 to 5:00 PM in the Poster Theater!
