  • 1.  LabChip GXII Questions

    Posted 12-22-2021 12:04 PM

    Hello All,

I am not sure if this is the correct forum for this but I thought it was worth a try. We have a PerkinElmer LabChip GXII currently in our lab and have been having many different issues with it. It is very sporadic when we do get it to work. We have lost so much time with scientists trouble shooting and lost experimental time it is crazy.

So here are my questions to you all:
    1) Do you have one and have you had any issues with it not working properly?
    2) Any insight you have found with getting your instrument more reliable?
    3) Are there any other HT (more than 12 samples) DNA and Protein characterization instruments out there?

Thank you in advance for your time and help!

    Hey Nicole,
I don't have direct experience with the LabChip GXII but I will ask around.

    Hi Nicole,

Please email me at rishi.mahajan@regeneron.com if you want to discuss. I have experience using these in the past and I do work with scientists who use this routinely and have some issues but for the most part, it works. I have seen another similar instrument but it has a capacity of 96 well plates (5400 Fragment Analyzer System).

    Best,
    Rishi

    Hello Rishi,

I believe we have worked out the issues we were having with our LabChip. We had our regional technicians out a few time and I think the last one we were able to determine what were the problems we were having. However, I will keep your contact information in case we something else comes up and we need some help!

    Thanks for the reply,
